HIPMediaKits: Everything you Need to Create your Media Kit

Being relatively new to the blogging world, I have heard a lot about media kits, but wasn't sure exactly where to start. I knew that it was important to have one, but still wasn't sure what it was all about. That is where Hip Media Kits comes in. They have all the information you need to successfully customize your own media kit. Their premade templates are professional will make your website stand out against the crowd, and all within a reasonable price range.

What is a Media Kit?

A media kit highlights what your blog is all about and offers potential sponsors a glimpse into your media reach and content. Both sponsors and advertisers can use this page to quickly determine you can offer what they need. For instance- does your blog have the audience they are looking to sell to? Do you have experience working with similar brands and products? Do you have the media reach they would like?
With a media kit, the sponsor can see everything they need to by taking a look at one page. They don't need to waste their own time or yours by searching through your blog and social media pages.

What does HipMediaKits.com offer?

Hip Media Kits has 5 different media kits available for purchase HERE. Each costs $24.99, or they have the option of purchasing all 5 at a discounted rate. In my opinion, this is a great deal! I had the opportunity to test out these kits, and they are simple and easy to work with. They are designed to be opened and edited using Microsoft Word. From there you can export as a PDF and save as an image if you would like.

My favorite template ended up being the Turner Media Kit. As a newer blogger, the one page layout fit my needs perfectly. The layouts come already completed with a sample of what type of information to include. Don't be alarmed if your stats are not anywhere near the samples- mine aren't even close! With time and persistence, eventually your blog social media followers will grow.

The sample information gives you some ideas for what to include if you aren't sure. I would also recommend taking a look at some of your favorite bloggers, or bloggers that write similar content as you, for some ideas to use on your own media kit.

I love that the templates are basically self-explanatory. You write over the text with your own, and directions to insert pictures are included right in the template. If you are not a fan of the colors, they can be easily altered using the tools in Microsoft Word. If you do have any problems working on your media kit, they all include a guide to help you with the process. Additionally, if you are not the most technologically inclined, you can pay an extra fee to have them edit the template for you.

If you have any questions about how HipMediaKits work, why you need one, or who to contact, check out their FAQ page HERE. Be sure to take a look at the media kit I created HERE.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above in exchange for my honest and unbiased review of HIPMediaKits. Although this post is sponsored, all opinions are my own. This post does contain affiliate links.

This looks like such a nice site. I made my own media kit just using Publisher, but your pics make me think I need to invest in a (much better) template.

  6. Oh yeah!! I'm so going to check them out! The price doesn't seem to bad either. Just wish I had known about this sooner. Would have saved myself a ton of $$ instead paying someone to do it for me. Oh well, you live and learn, right?! Your medit kit is crazy beautiful too Stephanie! Thanks so much for sharing. :)
